π Pink Aura Diaries Presents: Breaking Rules That Were Meant to Keep You Small – Part 1 “Who Made That Rule? Dismantling the Lies That Were Never Yours to Follow”
Quote of the Day:
"Some rules weren’t made to be broken—they were made to be burned." – Pink Aura Diaries
✨ Let’s Talk About It, Babe...
You ever stop and wonder who the hell made the rule that you had to shrink to be loved? That you had to be agreeable to be respected? That you had to wait your turn, bite your tongue, or dim your shine so somebody else could feel safe in your presence?
Let’s go ahead and say it together, loud and clear:
That rule was never yours.
It was handed to you like a silent contract. Unspoken, but heavy. Passed down through mothers, society, schools, relationships, and toxic systems. And baby, it’s been choking the power right out of you.
Not anymore.
This part right here? It’s about pulling those false beliefs up by the root. It’s about calling out the lies you were taught and replacing them with the truth:
You are allowed to take up space. You are allowed to be bold, loud, opinionated, sexy, soft, smart, angry, emotional, and whole—without guilt.
Every. Single. Time.
π§ Rule #1: “Be Humble” (Translation: Be Silent)
They told you to “be humble,” but what they really meant was “don’t get too confident.” They knew the moment you realized your power, the game would change—and not in their favor.
Humility is beautiful. But self-erasure? That’s not it. You weren’t sent here to whisper your greatness. You were sent here to embody it. Loudly. Creatively. Unapologetically. And yes, sometimes even with a little glitter and hot pink lipstick.
You don’t need to shrink to be kind.
You don’t need to be small to be humble.
And you damn sure don’t need to apologize for walking into the room like you own it—because you do.
π₯ Rule #2: “Good Girls Don’t…”
Let me stop you right there.
We don’t do “good girl” narratives around here.
That “good girl” concept was designed to control, to silence, and to guilt-trip you into obedience.
Good girls don’t:
-
Talk back.
-
Set boundaries.
-
Ask for what they want.
-
Own their sexuality.
-
Leave when they’re being mistreated.
-
Prioritize themselves.
But guess what? You’re not here to be a “good girl.” You’re here to be a liberated woman.
You’re here to break cycles, shake tables, speak truth, and build a life that turns you on. That’s real power. And that kind of power can’t exist inside anyone’s rulebook.
π‘ Let’s Break This Down:
Let’s identify three common “rules” women are taught that you’re about to leave in the dust:
-
“Don’t speak unless spoken to.”
→ ✨ Rewrite it: My voice deserves to be heard even if it makes people uncomfortable. -
“Put others first.”
→ ✨ Rewrite it: My needs are not an inconvenience—they are a priority. -
“Tone it down.”
→ ✨ Rewrite it: I wasn’t born to be toned down. I was born to glow in full volume.
π§π½♀️ Self-Check Journal Prompt:
Grab your journal, babe, and dive deep:
π What “rules” have I been living by that don’t reflect who I am or what I truly want?
π Whose voice is it in my head when I feel guilty for shining? Is it even mine?
π What would my life look like if I stopped asking for permission to be me?
π Real Talk Moment:
Some rules were built to box you in. They weren’t about safety—they were about control.
But here’s the beautiful part: You’re allowed to outgrow them.
You’re allowed to walk away from people, traditions, or mindsets that keep you playing small. That’s not rebellion—that’s rebirth.
And baby, if you’re reading this… the revolution has already started inside of you.
π Affirmation of the Day:
“I break rules that were never made for me. I rewrite every limit that tried to cage me. I am no longer shrinking to survive—I am expanding to thrive.”
